Dominic is developing superconducting magnet technology for practical applications in the biomedical field. This encompasses improving both the material properties and experimental architecture for both RE-Ba-Cu-O high temperature superconductors and MgB2 bulks. Recent work includes developing a pulsed field magnetisation apparatus implementing new power electronics and integrating Labview software for simplicity, safety and sequencing. Previously, he worked in industry constructing a range of low temperature and high magnetic field experimental systems for academic institutions.
